Reed Smith moves downtown Los Angeles office to City National Plaza

“The distance between our old and new downtown offices may be small, but the benefits of the move will be great,” said Los Angeles Office Managing Partner Jennifer Terry. “We have a gorgeous new office to welcome visitors from across our global platform and are very grateful to be here.”

Newly renovated to support Reed Smith’s collaborative culture, the space includes universally sized offices and hoteling work stations, as well as three conference rooms and two special-purpose areas integrated with the firm’s HD video conferencing technology.

The new location also offers comfortable common areas, a public loggia, a gym for tenants, and easy access to many of downtown’s premier venues and amenities, including two award-winning dining options and a park plaza that features the monumental fountain sculpture Double Ascension, by Herbert Bayer.

Built in 1971 and originally known as the Arco Plaza, today’s City National Plaza and its two 52-story office towers received significant upgrades in 2018. In support of Reed Smith’s Global Environmental Sustainability Plan to reduce its carbon footprint, City National Tower now holds an Energy Star label and LEED Platinum certification, the highest level available.

Reed Smith also has an office in Century City, with 29 lawyers and 14 staff members located at 1901 Avenue of the Stars, #700. In total, the firm has 275 lawyers and five offices in California, with additional locations in San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Orange County. Globally, the firm has more than 1,600 lawyers in more than 30 offices in the United States, the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
