Over the past year, Reed Smith’s UK lawyers contributed an impressive 18,627 hours of pro bono work, averaging 56.6 hours per UK fee earner. Notably, 89.7% of the firm’s UK lawyers participated in pro bono activities, reflecting the firm’s deep integration of pro bono work into its culture.
Reed Smith’s pro bono practice has delivered meaningful impact across a range of projects. The Support SEND Kids initiative has helped parents navigate complex legal processes to access their children’s trust funds, while also providing recommendations to the Ministry of Justice for process improvements. The firm’s collaboration with the AHA Foundation on the FGM Project has produced legal guides for survivors of female genital mutilation. In addition, Reed Smith’s ongoing partnership with KIND UK has continued to secure citizenship for undocumented children, maintaining a 100% success rate.
