WILMINGTON – Global law firm Reed Smith represented GST, Inc., the professional track and field league known as Grand Slam Track, as debtor in its Chapter 11 case in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. The company confirmed and consummated its Chapter 11 plan on an expedited timeline, enabling its emergence as a going concern with a sustainable post-emergence business strategy.

The case involved contested issues around creditor recoveries, acute liquidity constraints on a compressed timeline, and competing stakeholder views on the league’s future direction. The Reed Smith team worked closely with co-counsel, financial advisors, management, and multiple creditor constituencies to secure plan support and confirmation, ultimately preserving Grand Slam Track as a going concern rather than resulting in a liquidation.

The Delaware-based Reed Smith team was led by Jason Angelo and Matt Milana, assisted by Cameron Capp.
