Reed Smith’s EMEA head of pro bono recognised in Kindness & Leadership UK list

The listing “recognises the contribution of leaders across industries and professions who positively affect the culture of their organisation and celebrates those who are using the power of kindness to make a positive impact.”

In her role as pro bono counsel and leader of Reed Smith’s pro bono practice within EMEA, Naylor has helped to triple the size of that practice over the past seven years. She oversees more than 350 active cases a year, supporting vulnerable individuals, charities and non-profit organisations.

Reed Smith was one of the founding member firms that came together to create the Domestic Abuse Response Alliance (DARA). This highly collaborative project, supported by Naylor, was highly commended for the Pro Bono Initiative of the Year category at the inaugural The Legal 500 ESG Awards this year. DARA is the largest pro bono project ever assembled in the UK jurisdiction to provide end-to-end representation and advocacy support for domestic abuse survivors seeking protective orders against their abusers. Naylor has also helped to set up other important pro bono projects in partnership with other law firms and NGOs, such as the Afghan Pro Bono Initiative and the Ukraine Refugee Project.

In 2023, Reed Smith, under Naylor’s leadership, rose to second place in Law.com’s ranking of the Best Law Firms for Pro Bono in the UK. The publication analysed 55 top law firms across the UK to find the ones with the most impressive pro bono offerings.

In 2022, Reed Smith’s Chief Marketing Officer Sadie Baron also earned a place in the same Kindness & Leadership ‘50 Leading Lights’ listing.
