During her time in law school, Caprecia gained hands-on experience and distinguished herself in trial advocacy competitions, winning the 1L/2E Closing Argument Competition, placing second at the Battle of the Experts National Competition, and becoming regional champion at the National Trial Competition. She also externed for Justice Gail Ruderman Feuer of the California Second District Court of Appeal, where she co-drafted appellate opinions and conducted legal research.
Before law school, Caprecia spent nearly a decade in education, serving in multiple roles, including as a reading interventionist, helping students reach grade-level benchmarks. She has also worked with AmeriCorps Study Circles and interned for former Congressmember Karen Bass.
Beyond her work in commercial disputes, Caprecia is actively involved in Reed Smith’s pro bono initiatives, including guardianship petitions. Caprecia is also a member of the Black Women Lawyers Association and the Langston Bar Association.
