Katherine Yang has seventeen years’ experience practicing at leading international law firms in China. Her practice focuses on foreign direct investments, M&A, restructuring, general corporate and commercial as well as regulatory matters. Katherine assists multinational clients from a wide range of sectors, including pharma and medical device, large energy groups, mining groups, commodities trading companies, machinery manufacturers, foodstuff companies as well as media and entertainment groups. In addition, she also has particular focus on the environment, sustainability and carbon footprint aspects of ESG.

Representative matters

Assisting a multinational technology company to establish a number of health and safety policies and make supplements to these policies based on PRC laws, regulations and standards.
Preparing high-level responses in relation to COVID-19 prevention requirements, health and safety obligations in a multi-employer workplace, and the inspection powers of Health and Safety regulators, among others.
Delivering regular updates on regulations in relation to the new health and safety obligations as well as restrictions to the import/export and transport of goods in relation to COVID-19.
