The “One Belt, One Road”(“B&R”) initiative was first put forward by President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in the fall of 2013, which consists of “Silk Road Economic Belt” and “21st Century Maritime Silk Road”. B&R as communicated by the Chinese government is a strategy which aims to increase connectivity between the Asian, European and African continents. The implementation of the B&R initiative will bring a lot of opportunities for both domestic and foreign companies, individuals, financial institutions, and government authority in various sectors.
