The theme for the conference this year is “Drug Development A to Z" and includes an exploration of the various aspects that need to be considered throughout the process of developing new drugs or medical devices. The conference will also includes a discussion of current investment trends in the U.S. biotech industry, along with the various benefits offered by Maryland and Virginia, the third-largest biotech hubs in the U.S. The primary goal of this year's conference is to foster collaboration across various fields and organizations.

Reed Smith attorneys Sung Park and Taber Rueter are speaking at this event. Sung is moderating two sessions titled, "The PIE Act: What device companies can say prior to product approval" and "What's left for broad, functional claims?" Taber will be speaking on the panel titled, "The PIE Act: What device companies can say prior to product approval."
