Adi’s practice focuses on securitisations, note programmes, non-performing loans, trade finance and general lending. She has represented participants in their capacity as arranger, borrower, lender, security agent, issuer, and trustee. Her recent work includes advising an issuer on a GBP 3.3 billion multi-jurisdiction residential mortgage-back securitisation, advising the largest NGO in the world on a multi-jurisdiction social impact note issuance programme, and advising on an IFC co-investment debt financing.
Adi co-leads Reed Smith award winning FGM Project. She is a recipient of the Reed Smith Halpin Honorable Mention Award and a London Pro Bono Star (2022).
She is a member of both the firm’s Africa Business and the pro bono teams. She has been advising the government of Sierra Leone (ad hoc) on pro bono basis since 2009.
Adi lived in Dubai for over six years and practised as a solicitor at the Dubai International Financial Centre. She was also involved in advising on mainland UAE related matters as a registered legal consultant. She has advised on project financing in Africa, Europe, Middle East, and in particular worked on China-Africa transactions having had a brief secondment in Beijing. Her background in project finance advising governments, DFIs and ECAs, especially in relation to emerging markets transactions, puts her in good stead when advising on impact investment transactions.
