Brendan McNallen is a partner in the Energy & Natural Resources Group of the firm’s San Francisco office. His practice focuses on project development and finance in the energy generation, energy storage, transmission and distribution, infrastructure and natural resources sectors, with a specific focus on renewable energy.
Brendan represents developers, manufacturers and lenders on the development and financing of wind, solar, geothermal and biofuel energy, battery storage and transmission, as well as other conventional energy projects. He has advised on energy projects throughout the United States and abroad, including Europe, the Middle East, Mexico and Canada.
Brendan’s infrastructure and natural resources experience includes representation of developers, lenders and sovereigns in a wide range of sectors, including water, toll roads, ports, mining, forestry, oil refining and natural gas, and in various jurisdictions, including the United States, the Middle East, Canada, South America and the Caribbean.
Brendan has significant experience in Central Asia and India. He lived and worked in Kazakhstan where, in 2009, he assisted with the successful financial restructuring of two of the nation’s four largest banks. Brendan has also represented Indian and international clients on in-bound and out-bound Indian investments, including numerous cross-border joint venture transactions in India.
