Jeffrey is a member of Reed Smith’s Global Regulatory Enforcement Group, resident in the Philadelphia office. His practice focuses on internal investigations, securities and regulatory matters, and enforcement actions before the DOJ and SEC. His regulatory experience includes representing corporations and their employees in investigations relating to financial reporting and disclosure, insider trading, and fraud. Jeffrey’s experience also includes playing key roles in a number of commercial litigation matters, including multidistrict litigation related to the financial crisis and contract disputes between pharmaceutical distributors.
Jeffrey works extensively with the firm’s Records and E-Discovery Group, with considerable experience managing the electronic discovery process in the context of both commercial litigation and regulatory investigations. Much of the e-discovery work that he handles is large-scale and involves preparing and implementing defensible document collection and production protocols, and overseeing large teams during review and production of documents. Jeffrey has prepared witnesses to give sworn testimony and participated in proffers before the DOJ.
Prior to joining the firm, Jeffrey gained considerable experience working as a contract attorney and project manager for several Philadelphia law firms. During law school, Jeffrey served as an intern for the Honorable Robert P. Young, Jr. of the Michigan Supreme Court.
