Amy qualified as an associate in Reed Smith’s Labour & Employment Group in London in September 2018. Amy trained at Reed Smith, working in the Shipping, Financial Industry Group and Corporate practices as well as undertaking a commercial client secondment.
Amy’s practice extends across the litigation and transactional aspects of employment law. Amy’s litigation experience includes:
- defending a banking client from claims of sex discrimination, age discrimination and equal pay;
- acting for a media corporation in a discrimination, harassment and victimisation claim; and
- defending an engineering firm in a claim of disability discrimination issued by a job applicant.
In terms of transactional work, her experience includes assisting clients with the drafting and negotiation of employment contracts and settlement agreements and advising on the employment aspects of a number of Corporate transactions, both business sales (involving the application of TUPE) and share sales.
