Nilufer is an Australian qualified associate in the Financial Industry Group focusing in particular on structured finance transactions, securitisation, debt capital markets and debt restructurings, advising market participants including originators, issuers, corporate service providers, trustees, account banks and investors. Nilufer’s experience includes asset backed securities, capital markets bond issuances, and structured debt note programmes She also has experience in acting for both lenders and borrower in relation to capital expenditure, corporate facilities and project financings both in domestic and overseas markets.
Nilufer is a member of Reed Smith’s Turkey Group Initiative and the EMEA emerging markets team where she advises clients based in Turkey as well as international clients doing business in Turkey, on a variety of transactional matters.
Prior to joining Reed Smith, Nilufer was an in-house associate in the legal department of Turk Telekom, one of the largest telecommunications operators in Turkey. During her time at Turk Telekom, Nilufer was involved in a wide range of banking and project work which included advising on a range of debt finance transactions, including acquisition finance, corporate finance, project finance, and derivatives transactions.
Nilufer was also recently seconded to the Emerging Markets desk at Deutsche Bank which involved assisting the team on various corporate and project finance transactions provided or supported by government agencies and Development Finance Institutions (including OPIC, IFC, EBRD, EIB, and CDC) in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
She has also completed a secondment to the Structured Derivatives and Risk Solutions legal team of NatWest Markets.
