Adam focuses his practice primarily on corporate trustees and other financial intermediaries. He is well-known for his work representing trustees on sovereign bond defaults and restructurings. He works on domestic and cross-border transactions, particularly involving the Latin American market. His experience covers the full range of corporate trust and agency services, and clients regularly turn to him for their most complex matters.
Adam has advised on a broad range of transactions, insolvencies, and litigation matters for both U.S. domestic and international deals. He regularly advises on bond issuances, SEC reporting requirements for trusts, bondholder relations, credit arrangements, agency appointments, tender and exchange offers, consent solicitations, defaults, and out-of-court restructurings, including liability management exercises. His work spans the full life cycle of a deal, from the bidding process and negotiation through daily deal management, and ultimately to termination and default scenarios.
Prior to joining Reed Smith, Adam was a managing director and managing counsel at a global systemically important bank, where he advised the bank’s corporate trust and global operations groups. He has also worked at major international law firms and a leading international financial media company.
