Vanessa’s practice focuses on international arbitration, with a particular emphasis on the resolution of technical disputes, notably in the infrastructure and construction sectors, and/or involving an environmental or social, and governance (ESG) component.

Acted for two consortia in an ICC emergency arbitration and related substantive arbitration in relation to a dispute arising out of the construction of a dam in an African State (contract based on the FIDIC yellow book).
Advised a consortium in relation to a dispute arising out of a contract for the construction of a dam in an African State (dispute board – contract based on the FIDIC yellow book).
Advised a client in DIFC Court proceedings, bringing claims for conspiracy, inducement to breach contract and misuses of confidential information.
