America’s 250th anniversary coincides with the rise of artificial intelligence, affecting every aspect of our lives. Join us for Steamboat Institute’s 2026 Winter Policy Summit: “America 250 in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.” This will be a 1-day event at the Strings Music Pavilion in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Speakers and panels will discuss the impact of AI on:
- Energy - The U.S. wants to win the AI war with China and, in order to do so, our energy policy must be ramped up to support massive data centers. This will necessitate a policy that includes fossil fuels, nuclear and other sources.
- National Security and Defense - Technology is changing military strategy. The U.S. military and Silicon Valley must work together to modernize the military with rapid, software-driven solutions including drones.
- Education - AI can be a tool for great advancement in knowledge, but we still must fix the failures in our education system.
- Healthcare - While AI offers the potential for more accurate diagnoses, earlier interventions, lower costs, and expanded access to care, it also raises important questions about data privacy, bias, regulation, and the role of human judgment.
