The Bastide home medical assistance group had been a shareholder in Distrimed, France's second-largest online retailer of medical devices for health care professionals, since January 2022.
This new acquisition is part of the external growth drive in France led, since November 2021, by the Hygie31 Group, a European player renowned for its expertise in advising and supporting health care networks. Following strategic alliances with several pharmaceutical groups in 2022 and 2023, the Group is continuing to expand its network.
The Reed Smith team working alongside the Bastide group comprised corporate partner Guilain Hippolyte, and associates Marine Deyrolle and Marco Hazan.
The founders of Distrimed, Philippe Meyrueis and Jacques Meyrueis, who hold the remaining 30% of the share capital, were advised by Lamartine Conseil with a team comprising partner Clyve Monfredo and associate Céline Rapale.
Joffe & Associés advised the Hygie31 Group with a team comprising partner Christophe Joffe, counsel Camille Malbezin and associate Oriana Castelli.
