WASHINGTON, D.C. – Global law firm, Reed Smith, announced the addition of Amanda A. Rapp as a partner in the firm’s Financial Industry Group, affiliated with its Washington, D.C., office.

Rapp focuses her practice on commercial real estate financing, with particular depth in Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) financing and tax credit transactions.

“Amanda is a smart, driven attorney and a tremendous addition to the firm. Her ability to navigate the financing, real estate, and corporate dimensions of transactions is invaluable to both our team and our clients,” said Keith M. Aurzada, global co-chair of Reed Smith’s Financial Industry Group. “We have a top-tier real estate finance practice, and Amanda will further strengthen our capabilities, especially in C-PACE financing.”

Rapp advises capital providers and property owners on C-PACE transactions ranging from straightforward capital stack enhancements to highly structured financings where C-PACE serves as the primary funding source. She guides clients through every stage of the deal lifecycle, from initial structuring to closing, and provides ongoing support in servicing and asset management. She also counsels clients on structured finance solutions for C-PACE assets, including securitizations and warehouse facilities. Amanda has closed a record number of C-PACE transactions across nearly every active jurisdiction, reflecting the product’s evolution from a niche solution to a widely adopted financing tool.

In addition, Rapp brings broad experience in tax credit financing, advising lenders, investors, and sponsors on transactions involving new markets tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, and renewable energy tax credits. She also represents clients in the development, acquisition, and financing (including C-PACE financing) of data centers.

“Reed Smith’s real estate finance team has earned a reputation for building lasting client relationships by anticipating market trends and delivering results,” said Rapp. “I’m excited to join a group operating at such a high level and to contribute my experience in C-PACE and tax credit financing.”

Rapp joins from Stinson LLP. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Saint Louis University School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Saint Louis University.
