BOSTON – Global law firm Reed Smith today announced that Jennifer Nagle, Robert Sparkes, and Kathleen Parker have joined the firm as partners in its recently opened Boston office. The team will be joined by their Boston associates, as well as partner Loly Tor, who will be resident in the firm’s Princeton office.

These additions further strengthen the firm’s presence in Boston, building on the office’s recent launch and expanding its capabilities across key litigation and employment disciplines.

The four partners, all from K&L Gates, bring decades of combined experience advising clients in complex class actions and commercial disputes, consumer litigation, and employment counseling and litigation. Their arrival enhances Reed Smith’s ability to deliver integrated, cross-office solutions to clients in core industries, including consumer goods, retail, and financial services.

“These hires reflect our strategy of building in Boston around key client relationships,” said Casey Ryan, Reed Smith’s Global Managing Partner. “Jennifer, Rob, and Loly strengthen our capabilities in consumer class actions and complex commercial litigation, while Kathleen expands our employment offering in a market where demand continues to grow. Together, they enhance our ability to deliver the depth and practical guidance our clients expect in Boston and beyond.”

Nagle brings nearly 20 years of experience leading nationwide consumer class action portfolios for major retailers and financial institutions, with a strong record of early resolutions and favorable outcomes. Sparkes is a commercial litigator focused on defending class actions, representing retailers, financial institutions, and other businesses nationwide. Tor brings litigation experience across sectors, including class actions, construction, warranties, and other commercial disputes. Parker advises domestic and international companies on a wide range of employment matters, including regulatory compliance and investigations, and regularly represents clients before administrative agencies and in state and federal courts.

“We are committed to establishing a strong presence in the Boston market, built around our key clients and industry priorities,” said Julie Hardin, Reed Smith’s Managing Partner – Americas. “Class action litigation is on the rise, and the employment landscape is increasingly complex. The addition of Jennifer, Rob, Loly, and Kathleen (and their teams) reflects our continued investment in top-tier talent and a full-service offering in Boston that can support our clients nationally.”

The hires build on Reed Smith’s recent Boston office launch, which brought together transactional, regulatory, litigation, and advisory capabilities to support private equity and growth-equity sponsors, financial institutions, and fund managers.

“Reed Smith’s innovative support for complex disputes and deep bench of trial lawyers make it an ideal fit for our clients, who will benefit from the firm’s investment in litigation-focused technology,” said Nagle. “I’m looking forward to collaborating with colleagues in Boston and across the firm to support our clients as they navigate increasingly sophisticated class action risks.”

“The firm’s collaborative approach and international platform will allow us to deliver top-quality representation to clients facing complex disputes across jurisdictions,” added Sparkes.

“Our team has been working together for years. We are thrilled to join Reed Smith together and offer our clients the benefits of a global platform,” commented Tor.

“Joining Reed Smith at this stage of the Boston office’s growth is a tremendous opportunity,” said Parker. “I look forward to expanding the employment offering and working across practices to support clients with their most critical workforce challenges.”

Reed Smith’s Boston office now includes 17 attorneys and continues to grow as part of the firm’s broader global expansion. The office opened on March 17, 2026.
