2021 continues to be an extraordinary year for the logistics industry

Brexit, COVID and the Ever Given blocking the Suez Canal have all played their part. On top of that, as the US and Europe start to exit lockdowns, there is a huge surge of discretionary spending said to be 74% higher than pre-COVID levels. 

In light of this we are regularly receiving requests from clients to assist with transport arrangements to try and anticipate and alleviate delays in getting goods to customers, including the right to resell space in excess of capacity. 

So far as the liability position is, we generally recommend going for an industry standard convention position with extensions to cover any ancillary transport or storage. So far as delay is concerned, we generally recommend a bespoke regime.
