Impact of the war in Ukraine on preferential customs origin

On 23 February, the Commission published this notice, informing operators that it is no longer possible to claim preferential origin under the EU-Ukraine association agreement, for all goods made in or exported from Donetsk and Lugansk.

Operators, you have been warned.

The situation is likely to evolve quickly, given the developments of the past days.  Preferential origin claims from Ukraine at large could be at risk.  Watch that spot.
