Daniel is a banking and finance partner in Reed Smith’s Atlanta office. He represents lead arrangers, agents, lenders, private equity sponsors, and corporate borrowers in connection with domestic and cross-border secured and unsecured financing transactions, including acquisition financings and other leveraged buyouts, asset-based and cash-flow credit facilities, and corporate recapitalizations. He has represented clients on financings in a range of industries, including food and agribusiness, retail, health care, manufacturing, information technology, and transportation. Prior to joining Reed Smith, Daniel was a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig.

Representative matters

Represented lead arrangers, administrative agent and collateral agent in connection with a $660.0 million syndicated senior secured credit facility for the recapitalization of a leading energy supply company.
Represented lead arrangers, administrative agent and collateral agent in connection with syndicated multi-currency senior secured credit facilities aggregating $1.1 billion for the acquisition and recapitalization of a leading food manufacturing company.
Represented a sports equipment company, as borrower, in connection with a second lien secured financing and equity investment, the proceeds of which were used for recapitalization of the company.
