Kirsten is an associate in the international trade and national security team. She focuses on cross-border regulation of capital and technology, with significant experience representing clients on foreign direct investment and export control matters. Kirsten has secured approval from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and Team Telecom for major investments in U.S. telecommunications, manufacturing, and technology companies. Kirsten has advised clients on export control matters, including classification, licensing, voluntary disclosure and administrative enforcement, and regulatory counseling. Kirsten has led regulatory due diligence on export control, sanctions, anti-bribery, and other U.S. regulatory matters on dozens of strategic and economic investments in the United States.

Represented a software company in its acquisition by a Japanese global manufacturing company, including advising on a significant and complex transaction requiring approval from CFIUS and several of its global counterparts.
Represented an Indian conglomerate to secure approvals from CFIUS in its acquisition of a global semiconductor-related business.
Advised an artificial intelligence (AI) technology company in the energy and natural resources industry on receiving investments from foreign persons.
