Robin is the global chair of Reed Smith’s Labor & Employment Group. He was previously the European vice chair for Reed Smith’s Global Litigation Department.

Robin acts for a diverse range of clients, with particular experience in the financial and professional services sectors acting for retail, investment and commercial banks; investment managers; professional partnerships (including law and accountancy firms); and insurance companies, many with an international presence.

For more than 25 years, Robin has advised on all manner of employment issues, from major litigation and global projects to the handling of redundancy exercises, disciplinary and grievance procedures, dealing with allegations of discrimination and harassment, managing whistleblowing and fraud by employees, and bonus disputes. He also advises regularly on team moves and boardroom disputes, and on employment law issues in a regulatory context.

Acted for a major plc in a high profile case to enforce the garden leave provisions of key senior executives
Acted for Zurich Global Energy and a named individual in relation to a high profile and substantial Employment Tribunal claim that included allegations of sex discrimination, victimisation, harrassment, whistle-blowing and breach of contract. The case received substantial coverage in the national media. Our clients were awarded costs on an indemnity basis
Gerrard Limited v. Read: Acted for the employer in this reported case concerning the use of Springboard relief in protecting the employer’s confidential information
