Weldianne C. Scales

Her practice includes representing companies across multiple industries, including financial services in a broad range of disputes and transactions. She has experience with matters involving consumer and commercial finance, breach of contract, criminal defense, creditors’ and debtors’ rights, commercial litigation such as lender liability, estate planning, pre-litigation matters, negotiating matters to resolution, litigating and supporting complex litigation matters in all stages. She handles all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, subpoenas, discovery and dispositive motions, pretrial preparation, trial, alternative dispute resolution, including the American Arbitration Association (AAA).

Weldianne maintains an active pro bono practice and regularly handles cases involving federal and state consumer protection statutes and regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Telephone Credit Protection Act (TCPA), and Unfair Trade Practices (UTPCPL) and  Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

Weldianne began her career as a judicial intern to the Honorable Arnold I. Klein for the Fifth Judicial District of Pennsylvania. She also served as an elected member of council in local government, where she introduced and adopted policy initiatives. 

Through this wide-ranging legal practice, Weldianne has developed a deep knowledge of litigation, with experience in a broad array of commercial disputes, as well as immigration law, real estate law, oil and gas, criminal law, personal injury, family law, and estate law.
