Also at the 2024 Pennsylvania Legal Awards, Alumni Relations Director Laura Karmatz received an Unsung Heroes Award for the firm’s Alumni Network, and Philadelphia-based Mark Fidanza, a partner practicing in commercial disputes, was honored as a Lawyer on the Fast Track.

Reed Smith had been shortlisted in three other 2024 drawings: it was one of six considered for Pennsylvania Law Firm of the Year; it was one of seven finalists for Litigation Department of the Year. Energy & Natural Resources Group Co-Chair Ryan Purpura was among six nominees for Most-Effective Dealmaker of the Year.

The annual Pennsylvania Legal Awards, sponsored by Law.com affiliate The Legal Intelligencer, honor lawyers and law firms that leave “an indelible mark on the legal community in Pennsylvania and Delaware and beyond through their unwavering dedication to the profession.”
