CHICAGO — Global law firm Reed Smith advised longtime client Wind Point Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm, in connection with its platform acquisition of Buske Lines Inc., a contract warehousing and supply chain services provider for the food, beverage, and consumer packaged goods sectors.

Founded in 1923, Buske provides storage, handling, packaging, inspection, kitting, and component sequencing services that support just-in-time inventory fulfillment for Fortune 500 manufacturers. The company operates more than seven million square feet of warehouse space across 37 facilities in the U.S. and Canada.

Wind Point is partnering with Buske’s management team to continue investing in technology and infrastructure and to pursue both organic and acquisition-driven growth in the company’s core end markets. The partnership supports Buske’s next phase of expansion and reflects Wind Point’s long-term strategy of building value-added businesses in logistics and supply chain services. Wind Point is an active investor in the contract logistics, supply chain, and food and beverage sectors.

The Reed Smith team was led by David Hayes, the firm’s global vice-chair of Private Equity Finance, and Maggie Deutsch. The team also included Alec Schlinkert and Helen Hsuan.

Reed Smith’s global private equity team advises funds, sponsors, and portfolio companies on buyouts, growth investments, and financings across industries, drawing on deep middle-market experience and integrated tax, finance, and regulatory support.
