John is a senior associate in the Global Commercial Disputes Group. John’s practice concentrates on complex commercial disputes, with an emphasis on litigation associated with entertainment matters and Reed Smith’s entertainment clients. He has experience in a diverse range of subjects in state and federal commercial litigation, including contracts, commercial real estate, long-arm jurisdiction, corporate governance, and judgment enforcement. John’s responsibilities have included drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, participating in alternative dispute resolution, leading bench trials in small-claims matters, researching discrete legal issues in support of pending or contemplated litigation, and assisting in all stages of discovery.

John is also a member of the firm-wide and New York office Pro Bono Committees. Significant pro bono matters that John has participated in include the appellate representation of an Alabama prison inmate on death row, and representation of the estate of Ahmaud Arbery in his wrongful death suit against the parties responsible for his murder.
