Ben joined Reed Smith in 2012 and is a member of the Records & E-Discovery Group. He has more than four years of e-discovery experience, including document analysis projects involving large scale civil litigation, DOE, SEC and FDA investigations, pharmaceutical products liability, patent infringement, and employment discrimination, among other issues.
In his role as an e-discovery attorney, Ben regularly reviews documents for responsiveness, confidentiality, privilege, and key issues. He has also led document review teams, where his responsibilities include providing guidance and feedback to other attorney reviewers, communicating about critical case issues with associates, and preparing privilege and redaction logs for production sets.
In a large-scale personal injury and products liability case, Ben prepared claim assessments for individual claimants to determine compensable claims, mitigating circumstances, and proposed settlement valuations.
