Supply-chain finance (the financing or purchase of trade receivables owed by one business to another) is an area with huge potential. There are multi-trillions of dollars of unfinanced receivables outstanding globally. Growing economic activity, coupled with constraints in bank lending – particularly in the SME sector and peripheral economies – has led to a great deal of interest in this asset class from alternative investors. Investment can be executed directly or indirectly (including in securitised form).

The purpose of this seminar is to provide further insight into the receivables market and unlock the opportunities for investors through panel discussions and Q&A sessions with experts.

Topics to be addressed include:

  • How to invest in trade receivables
  • Analysing trade receivables data
  • What can go wrong: dilutions, defaults, trade credit insurance and enforcement
  • Legal, regulatory and tax issues in various jurisdictions
  • Market trends and opportunities

Confirmed speakers include representatives from:

Aztec Exchange, Falcon Group, Finacity, Atradius, Ernst & Young, Cuatrecasas Gonçalves Pereira, Legance, Papapolitis & Papapolitis, Reed Smith LLP.
