The conference, now in its eighth year, had a record turnout and gathered together representatives from life science companies, senior experts from the risk and insurance sectors and legal and regulatory environments to constructively debate key challenges, opportunities and explore risk solutions facing the industry.

The agenda included the following topics which raised issues for discussion and debate:

• The changing liability risk profile of life science companies
• Are there any cyber risks for Life Science companies?
• What are the duties, liabilities and management for a product recall?
• A look at the issues you may encounter when running clinical trials
• Making risk financing decisions and managing financial lines insurance programmes in emerging markets

It also gave a legal and regulatory update and there was a focus on the challenges and risks associated with the supply chain.
