This decision, which was handed down on 27 November 2020, provides clarification on significant issues regarding the impartiality of arbitrators and the extent of the arbitrators’ duty of disclosure. The long term effects of this decision are still being considered by arbitrators, arbitration institutions and associations and parties involved in international arbitration. At this webinar, we will be joined by Michael Collett QC (Twenty Essex) and Diane Galloway (commodities arbitrator) and discuss the implications of Halliburton v Chubb on international arbitration with particular focus on arbitration in the commodity sector.
