(Los Angeles, April 9, 2003) - The international law firm Reed Smith Crosby Heafey LLP today announced the addition of Robert C. Shenfeld as
Counsel in the firm's Los Angeles office.

Formerly a partner in the Restructuring and Creditors' Rights Practice Group at Kelley Drye & Warren, Mr. Shenfeld joins Reed Smith's expanding
Financial Services Practice on the West Coast.

Mr. Shenfeld's practice encompasses the representation of secured and unsecured creditors, financial institutions, official and unofficial creditors' committees, bank agents, indenture trustees, and retail landlords in complex bankruptcy cases and related litigation.  He advises national and international banking and financial institutions and telecommunications companies with respect to the enforcement of creditors’ rights and remedies, the conducting of business with financially troubled companies, business strategies, and the purchase and sale of assets of distressed companies. Recently, Mr. Shenfeld represented parties in interest in the bankruptcy cases of Enron, Pacific Gas & Electric Co., Global Crossing, Finova Capital Corp., Farmland Industries, Trans World Airlines, Dow Corning and Advance TelCom Group.  He received a B.A.  from Tufts University and a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

In the L.A. office, Mr. Shenfeld joins former Kelley Drye corporate partner Henry Ota, who last week joined Reed Smith to head up a new Japan Practice
Group.
