International law firm, Reed Smith LLP is delighted to announce that Richard Wright will join the UK Corporate Restructuring and Bankruptcy group as Of Counsel. Richard, a leading expert in his field will join the firm on Monday 6th September, expanding the UK Corporate Recovery practice to 12 lawyers.
Wright joins Reed Smith from Linklaters where he has held of Counsel status for the last eight years and prior to that he was a Partner at DLA. Richard has extensive experience of asset recoveries, and exposure to bondholder issues and turnaround work. Active in the field for over 30 years, he is well known to all of the leading insolvency practitioners. Richard is a founding member and past President of the Insolvency Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the Insolvency Court Users' Committee.
Richard’s appointment demonstrates Reed Smith’s commitment to developing a significant UK and European Corporate Recovery capability to mirror their leading Bankruptcy and Reorganisation practice in the US, where the firm acts for major banks and creditors in bankruptcies including Enron, TWA, National Car Hire and Alamo Car Hire.
