Honorable has previously worked with BPC as a member of its Energy Project from 2011 to 2013, providing advice and insights about the evolving energy landscape. Projects include contributing to BPC’s 2013 Strategic Energy Policy Initiative report and its 2012 consensus report on the implications of expanded United States shale gas production.
“Colette is an invaluable addition to BPC’s energy work, and I could not be more pleased that she’s joining the team,” said BPC President Jason Grumet in a news release issued today by the center. “Effective energy policy happens when states and the federal government work together, and Colette has seen that collaboration from both sides.”
Prior to her service as a FERC commissioner, Honorable’s energy policy experience includes her work with the Arkansas Public Service Commission, which she chaired from 2011 to 2015, and serving as president of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), which honored her at its 2017 Summer Policy Summit.
