The Lawyer Awards, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, brought together over 1,200 people, including managing partners, barristers and top in-house lawyers.
Andrew Jenkinson, Reed Smith’s London office managing partner, said: “I’m pleased with the result. Reed Smith’s London office is the firm’s largest office globally and is seen as a microcosm of the firm as a whole. Over the past 12 months, our teams here have worked on a number of ground-breaking and market-leading cases – including our win in which London partner Eoin O’Shea represented the Law Society of England and Wales in its critical intervention in Director of the Serious Fraud Office v. Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation Limited, which resulted in the recalibration of the law of privilege.
“We believed the case was so important to civil liberties, access to justice and the whole legal profession that we offered to act on a pro bono basis.”
