NEW YORK – Geoffrey Young, a New York-based partner in Reed Smith's Global Commercial Disputes practice, has been appointed to Cornell Law School's Alumni Association Executive Board.

The Cornell Law School Alumni Association Executive Board is a group of alumni that give voice to the interests of alumni at large-over 10,000 graduates. They work to ensure alumni participation is a key component of the Law School. Their objectives are to foster a closer association between the Law School and its alumni and among its alumni. They promote the interest and welfare of the Law School and promote the practice of law and the highest standards of learning and ethics in the legal profession.

"It's an honor to join such an esteemed group of alumni from Cornell Law,” said Young.  "I look forward to working with my fellow board members and the rest of the Cornell Law community in the pursuit of our mission of supporting the law school to ‘keep its instruction strong, its standards high.'"
