DALLAS – Reed Smith partner I. Bobby Majumder has been honored in Texas Lawyer’s 2020 Texas Trailblazers issue, which highlights his “Pioneer Spirit” as a dealmaker in energy, health care and information technology.

The publication notes Majumder’s success creating an “ecosystem of contacts” in the Indian market and for his work on major deals there. Noteworthy deals include the Indian government's $706 million IPO of its first central public sector exchange-traded fund, and advising Indian conglomerate TVS Motors on its acquisition of British company Norton Motorcycles.

Majumder is quoted discussing how tech-driven legal services enable delivery of client services with more efficiency, but also present challenges to firms.

Majumder is the co-office managing partner of Reed Smith’s Dallas office and co-head of the firm’s India practice. He focuses his practice on corporate and securities transactions primarily in the energy (oil, gas and coal), mining, health care and information technology industry verticals.

Texas Trailblazers is a special supplement that spotlights professionals who are “agents of change” and have taken extra measures to contribute to positive outcomes.
