CHICAGO – Global law firm Reed Smith today announced that it advised Imperial Bag & Paper Co. LLC d/b/a Imperial Dade, a leading distributor of food service packaging and janitorial supplies, in its acquisition of Nichols Paper & Supply Co. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
A cross-office team led by Chicago-based partners Morley Fortier and Nick Gibson, and comprising associates Ross Williams (Chicago), Ethan Seery (Chicago), and Yanna Banks (Pittsburgh), advised Imperial in the transaction. The deal marks the Reed Smith team’s eleventh transaction for Imperial in 2021.
Headquartered in Norton Shores, Michigan, Nichols is one of the largest independently owned paper, packaging, and sanitary supply distributors in the Great Lakes region. The acquisition will help to diversify Imperial’s customer base and product offering as well as bolster its geographic footprint to better serve the Midwest.
