PARIS – The Paris office of Reed Smith has advised Move Capital Fund I, a European fund managed by KC Invest (Kepler Cheuvreux Group), on a €10 million investment in Shark Robotics, a French technology company specialising in firefighting, defence and nuclear robots.
Wooden building structure is fully engulfed in flames during fire department practice burn training.

Shark Robotics robots are used by public institutions in civil security and defence, including the French Ministry of the Armed Forces, Paris Fire Brigade, SDIS 13, French Customs, and international Ministries of the Interior. In addition, they are used in the industrial sector by organisations including Orano, Arianegroup and at high-risk sites. Shark Robotics is notably the creator of the Colossus firefighting robot, which operated for more than 10 hours at 800 degrees during the Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral fire in 2019.

Reed Smith mobilised a multidisciplinary team to advise Move Capital, led by Guilain Hippolyte (partner) and composed of Marco Hazan (associate) for the corporate issues; Thierry Lautier (partner) and Mathilde Grammont (associate) for the intellectual property issues; Benoît Bernard (partner) and Sigrid Le Chevalier (associate) for the tax aspects; Benoît Charot (partner) and Pierre-Céols Fischer (associate) for litigation matters; as well as Séverine Martel (partner) and Fanny Molla (associate) for employment law matters.
