PHILADELPHIA – Global law firm Reed Smith will receive the Pro Bono Award on Thursday, Nov. 6, at the 2025 Philly Justice Awards.

Presented by the Philadelphia Bar Foundation, the Pro Bono Award is given annually to the law firm or in-house legal department that contributed the most exceptional volunteer legal services to those in need within the community.

“This award brings important recognition to the amazing pro bono work being done in our community, work that is at the core of the legal profession,” stated the Philadelphia Bar Foundation.

Reed Smith is honored for its “extraordinary commitment to meaningful pro bono service,” as well as for “advancing the rights of vulnerable communities through innovative partnerships and sustained advocacy.”

The 2025 Philly Justice Awards will take place on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. Two others will also be honored: Louise Hayes, with Community Legal Services, will receive the Philadelphia Bar Foundation Award; and the Honorable Doris May Harris will be honored posthumously with the Trailblazers for Justice Award.
