With a background in both private practice and in-house counsel, Stephen has experience advising companies across a wide range of industries, including technology and software, financial services, data privacy and security, private equity, media and entertainment, transportation, electronics, and health care and insurance.
Stephen possesses in-depth knowledge of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, cryptocurrency, quantum computing, and augmented and virtual reality. He provides strategic advice on the legal and regulatory aspects of these technologies, ensuring clients can navigate the complexities of an ever-evolving landscape. His experience extends to dealing with both state and federal financial institution regulatory agencies, addressing regulatory compliance, and exploring the legal implications of adopting new technologies.
In addition to his technical knowledge, Stephen's background in the military brings a unique perspective and valuable skillset to his legal practice, including strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities. He has served as a Captain in the United States Army, and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal while deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (2007-08, 2010).
