Jesse’s practice focuses on products liability litigation, and he has extensive experience handling matters for an array of multinational companies in the pharmaceutical, medical device, health care, automotive and alcoholic beverage industries in both state and federal courts.
As national and regional counsel for some of the largest companies in the world, Jesse has managed thousands of cases through discovery, trial and/or settlement. He also represented health care clients on a wide range of compliance issues, governmental investigations and large-scale civil action discovery responses. Jesse additionally has taken and defended hundreds of depositions, from plaintiffs to fact and expert witnesses, and has argued motions of all kinds in both state and federal courts around the United States. As national and settlement counsel for one of the largest consumer goods health care companies in the world, Jesse oversaw and implemented the resolution process for thousands of cases. With a focus on both the litigation and resolution process for companies in the life sciences health industry, Jesse is able to use his extensive experience in both areas to assist our clients with the most efficient and cost-effective management of cases in the mass tort setting.
Jesse also has a strong background in electronic discovery, organizing and supervising numerous large-scale document productions for clients around the country, including all facets of the process from hold letters, to initial preservation and organization of discovery parameters, to the review and assessment for production, privilege and fact development. As a member of the Sedona Conference on Electronic Discovery, Jesse combines the unique experience gained while working at his prior discovery counsel boutique law firm – where he also had responsibility for the day-to-day management of the firm – with his long-time experience at Reed Smith, which puts him on the cutting edge of the electronic discovery industry.
