Kelli counsels employers on sensitive employment issues and provides advice on best practices during all stages of employment. In addition to counseling employers on day-to-day employment issues, Kelli’s practice includes advising on labor and employment issues in corporate transactions.
Kelli assists clients with strategies to help avoid litigation and government investigations, and she provides practical advice on employment-related issues such as new hire practices and documentation, requests for accommodation, internal investigations, employee discharge and discipline, reductions-in-force, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment and wage and hour laws.
As laws and businesses evolve, Kelli collaborates with employers on updating and rolling out new employment-related policies. In connection with this, Kelli reviews and drafts company policies, agreements, and employee handbooks.
In addition, Kelli provides legal counsel regarding labor and employment issues related to business openings and closings, mergers and acquisitions (buy- and sell-side), and other business transactions. She has experience negotiating and drafting employment-related contracts, including employment agreements, restrictive covenants agreements, and separation agreements.
