Ryan joined Reed Smith's Records & E-Discovery Group at its inception in 2011. His responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing discovery material to determine responsiveness, privilege, criticality, and confidentiality. He often oversees the efforts of review teams as they analyze document collections, and works to cull ESI collections through the use of refined search terms and advanced technologies.
Ryan also assists with the compilation of key documents for deposition and trial preparation, drafts privilege logs, and has experience conducting custodian interviews. For the last several years, his work has centered on health care and energy matters involving commercial and antitrust litigations, regulatory investigations, and corporate due diligence.
Prior to Reed Smith, Ryan assisted with discovery-related matters at another large Pittsburgh law firm.
