Tom is counsel in the firm’s Energy & Natural Resources Group, practicing in the area of oil and gas, construction, and product liability litigation.
Tom has represented energy clients on a range of litigation issues relating to the production of natural gas throughout the Appalachian region, including lease disputes, royalty class actions, contractor and services provider disputes and employee and contractor well-site injury disputes. Tom also represents pipeline companies and natural gas storage operators in encroachment disputes and condemnation litigation in both federal and state courts.
Tom’s practice also emphasizes complex product liability defense and construction litigation. His product liability practice emphasizes the defense of designers, manufacturers and sellers of heavy industrial and agricultural equipment and machinery, automotive and consumer products. Tom’s experience includes defending claims regarding defective design and manufacture, failure to warn, malfunction, breach of warranty and punitive damages involving death or serious injury. Tom’s representative litigation cases in the construction sector have involved construction payment, defect and/or delay claims.
