Junga is a partner in Reed Smith’s Global Commercial Disputes Group, specializing in the area of managed care. She has represented and counselled clients in the managed health care industry for more than 13 years. As a result, she offers considerable depth and expertise in the health care fields, assisting clients resolve complex disputes.
Junga’s substantive experience in managed health care includes member benefits and bad faith denial of benefits, Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), Mental Health Parity Act, breach of contract, bad faith and other variety of claims.
Junga is also a member of the firm’s E-Discovery Team, with experience managing large scale discovery efforts including advice regarding data preservation obligations and protocol and oversight of document review teams.
Junga is actively involved in firm activities with strong commitment towards its success. Her responsibilities include (or have included): Chair for the Reed Smith Womens’ Initiative Network for the Los Angeles and Century City offices, Associate Development Partner for the Los Angeles and Century City offices, Evaluator for CareeRS for the Los Angeles and Century City offices, and member of the Summer Associate Hiring and Mentor Committees.
