Marielle began her career in state tax at a Big 4 accounting firm focusing primarily on state income and franchise taxes. Prior to joining Reed Smith, she worked on state and federal tax matters at another law firm where she assisted both individuals and businesses in their tax controversy and transactional needs.
Prior to getting her law degree, Marielle lived in Berlin, Germany, working at the Humboldt University of Berlin. While in law school, Marielle worked in the IRS Office of Chief Counsel as a legal extern, and during her final year of law school, she published a tax article in the Temple International and Comparative Law Journal. Marielle is a member of the board and treasurer for the New York City-based non-profit organization, Broadway Bound Kids.
