Joey represents employers in litigation and administrative actions concerning both federal and state labor and employment laws, including defending employers against claims of discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and whistleblower allegations.  Joey also has experience defending employers against Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) wage and hour collective actions. Additionally, he advises clients on new hire practices and documentation, employee handbooks, and various policy and procedure issues. Further, Joey has experience representing plan sponsors, trustees, and corporate officers, among others, in ERISA litigation related to employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) undervaluation claims and breach of fiduciary duty claims.
