Karla is an associate in Reed Smith’s Washington, D.C. office, where she practices in the firm’s Regulatory and Investigations group. Karla represents government contractors and grant recipients in a range of complex litigation and regulatory counseling matters.
Karla assists large and small companies across a variety of industries with bid protests before the Government Accountability Office and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. She is experienced with government contract claims and investigations, and also advises clients on day-to-day compliance issues, including the scope and content of applicable federal regulations.
Prior to joining Reed Smith, Karla served as a law clerk at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, where she assisted with government contracts cases and disputes involving the federal government. She received her JD from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where she served as Executive Editor of the Maryland Journal of International Law. Karla is fluent in Spanish.
